Today is the first day of school. The two months of had passed like a dream. This morning, I was returning to school.
I was thinking of the upcoming academic year, and went unwillingly. The streets were swarming with pupils. In front of the school, three were so many parents dropping off their children and the security guards found it hard to control the traffic. At the school gate, I felt someone touch on the shoulder, it was my secondary one form teacher, cheerful as usual, and she asked me, “How were your holidays?”
After answering her, I made my way up to class with difficulty. Pupils from secondary one to four filled the canteen and other parts of the school making such a buzz. Out of routine I walked past my secondary one classroom. As I walked past it indeed I was glad to see once more that large room, where I had experienced my first year in Victoria School.
By Sven in the morning, we were all in our classes. The school seemed so small and gloomy to me when I thought of the beautiful and lush scenery where I had passed my holidays in Newzeland. I was indeed pleased to find out that my teacher was a tall man who had no beard, black hair and a big voice. He was no other than Mr. Tan my sec one English teacher. I was pleased to have a teacher who at least smile compared to some other teachers in the school.
But the thought that today was my first day, there were ten more months to go and examinations for all my subjects really made this experience not an enjoyable one.
This video below is of a song which can express how i felt on that very day
