It was a moon-lit night when I was walking home on foot through a secluded street near my house, which was a short-cut indeed. It was the first night of my whole life that I was alone in such a late time. On that day, it seemed quieter in my consideration.
In the dark, I could see bats. There were hundreds of them in the shadows. I had moved really fast towards home. It was partly because I was hungry. I therefore moved rapidly for a dinner. All of a sudden, I caught a sight of some thing white on a mango tree.
That is when I remembered my grandmother telling me that ghosts also known as ponthianahs in local context, would lure around either mango or banana trees late at night.
I was a bit curious. I wanted to know why she was there at that time of the late night. I stopped walking for a while. As I stood there, vague memories my grandmother telling me that ghosts also known as ponthianahs in local context, would lure around either mango or banana trees late at night. I ran as fast as I could, and when I reached home I could hardly speak.
From that day onwards I told myself that I would not walk through that path at night, but rather take the longer way.
Here are two video that are similar to my experience. so enjoy them!!!
